A LEGACY UNFOLDS:
BUILDING A TEMPLE IN HOUSTON

We have just committed to a historic campaign culminating in the building of a Tibetan-style Temple in Houston, the country's fourth largest city. This will be a place of refuge and retreat, a sacred space for teaching and practice. It will include a community center for visual and performing spiritual art. It will provide as well a groundbreaking model for spiritual collaboration with the Asian lay and monastic communities here, several of whom are actively supporting our efforts.

Equally important, it will anchor the work of our teachers and their lineages here, in an American urban heartland, where they can continue to grow and inspire for generations to come.
