Dawn Mountain seeks an emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and innovative leader with strong financial management skills to oversee its administration, program support, staffing, and strategic plan. Other responsibilities include assessment (organizational, program, and budget), fundraising, marketing, and community outreach, taking a hands-on approach when needed. You have an ability to guide, influence, and communicate changes in an evolving organization and organize and motivate self and others as both a leader and collaborative team member and partner. You will bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the position, and work closely with the organization’s founders to embrace, propose pathways, and creatively carry out their vision as expressed through Dawn Mountain’s programs.

Education and Experience: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
  2. Five-to-ten years of senior not-for-profit management experience
  3. Experience in not-for-profit financial reporting and ability to monitor, analyze, and report
  4. Experience assessing, developing, implementing and monitoring processes that promote operational efficiency, strong communication, and best in class output
  5. Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite, with aptitude and willingness to learn and apply new technology, platforms, and applications
  6. Experience interacting with and engaging diverse volunteer and donor groups

Demonstrated Abilities and Knowledge: 

  1. Demonstrated transparent and high integrity leadership
  2. Emotionally intelligent leader and team member with the ability to guide, influence, and communicate changes in an evolving organization
  3. Proven ability to organize and motivate self and others as both a leader and collaborative team member and partner
  4. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and group communication skills.
  5. Comfortable navigating and guiding others through ambiguity
  6. Keenly self-aware and open to personal growth
  7. Able to confidently manage self and others accountable for multiple tasks and deadlines
  8. Demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately
  9. Knowledge of not-for-profit fundraising strategies, grant writing, and donor relations desired
  10. Basic knowledge of Buddhist traditions and somatic practice desired
