Planned giving is a way to ensure a karmic legacy continuing support to your sangha beyond this current cyclic lifetime to continue to support Dawn Mountain’s mission to benefit all beings. It can also offer tax or investment benefits for yourself, your estate, or future beneficiaries.
Built for your needs- there are a variety of options to fit your goals.
Charitable Bequests: Include Dawn Mountain as a beneficiary in your will or trust. Maintain flexibility over your assets and revise any time. Estate will recieve a tax deduction. Make a gift of a fixed amount, a percentage, or remainder after other gifts are dispursed to family.
Beneficiary Designation: Dawn Mountain can be designated as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, a retirement plan, or a bank account.
Charitable Gift Annuties: This is a contract between you and Dawn Mountain to donate a large amount to Dawn Mountain and recieve a fixed payment from Dawn Mountain every year of your life. The donation qualifies for an income tax deduction and payments recieved are tax-free. Estate will recieve a tax deduction.
Charitable Trusts: Remainder Trust- Create a trust that pays a fixed % to a beneficiary of your chosing. At the end of the terms of the trust, Dawn Mountain will recieve the remainder of the assets in the trust. Charitable Lead Trust- This vehicle potentially allows you to see your benefit impact Dawn Mountain during your lifetime. Set up a trust that pays a fixed percentage to Dawn Mountain for the duration of the trust terms. At the end of the term the remaining assets are left to a beneficiary of your choice.
