Times and dates

The retreat will begin on Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m. and close at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 12. Please plan to be receiving teachings and/or practicing through the day (probably roughly 9-5) with a two-hour break for dinner, followed by evening practice that will conclude by 9 at the latest. In addition, someone will lead Foundational Practices/Ngondro in the mornings before the first retreat session. We will have one afternoon off, probably Tuesday.

Where to stay

Hotel Ylem has kindly offered us a group discount rate of $109/night (or $99 if our group books 20 rooms or more).  Please contact them directly and mention that you’re coming in for our retreat when you make your registration.  For info on the hotel and the charitable activities of the family who owns it, please see this article.

(If you live in Houston, there’s no need to stay at the hotel.  And if you’d like to offer an out-of-town student a place in your home, please contact MaryScott, [email protected])

If the cost of housing will be an obstacle to your attending the retreat in person, please contact Jerri ([email protected]).

We’re still figuring out food for the retreat, but probably lunches will be catered.
