Dakini Element Practice
Last Fall we explored how the elements can support our emotional life and shift for better habitual attitudes towards ourselves and others. We learned how to recognize when we are out of balance, and steps that can restore balance. In their most refined expressions, these elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—are nothing other than the five primordial wisdoms.
In the Indian and Tibetan Buddhist. traditions, the elements are female wisdom beings, dakinis. They can powerfully assist us in bringing balance deep into the heart of our experience. In this retreat, we meet these elemental dakinis, and invite them to help us recognize our own innate nature.
