Dharma Explorations: Engaging the Deeds of the Bodhisattva

First and Third Tuesdays, January 19- May 18, 2021, 7:00-8:30 pm CST

Our focus is one of the most beloved text-teachings of India and Tibet training in the compassionate endeavor of a Bodhisattva, from which HH the Dalai Lama once said he learned everything he needed. Shantideva’s famous text moves takes us step by step through training in the compassionate endeavors of a Bodhisattva–on how to be and act from the heart of compassion in every part of life (Bodhisattvacaryavatara). It’s an outstanding introduction to the transformative power of practice and essential for practitioners of every level!

In keeping with Dawn Mountain’s vision of brining traditional sources to modern experience, we will also dialogue together on how this venerable 8th century Indian text still inspires as we translate it into our modern world of zoom, googling, and the stresses of modern life.
